Music Legend Clarence Avant's Wife Shot & Killed In Home Invasion Robbery


The Avant family is mourning the tragic violent death of legendary music executive Clarence "The Black Godfather" Avant's wife of 54 years, Jacqueline Avant, after she was shot and killed during a home invasion robbery early Tuesday morning. who was just inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, had a home invasion robbery on Tuesday where his wife of 54 years Jacqueline Avant was shot and killed, according to TMZ. Avant was also the mother-in-law of Netflix CEO Ted Sarandos

TMZ reports the horrible murder happened Tuesday morning in the Trousdale Estates - a high-end area neighboring Beverly Hills. Law enforcement says Beverly Hills Police Department got a call at 2:30 AM for a home invasion.

The caller told the dispatcher someone had been shot. By the time police & paramedics arrived, Jackie had already been rushed to a nearby hospital. Clarence was also home at the time but was not injured.

Clarence Avant was just inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame for his amazing accomplishments throughout his career. Better known as "The Black Godfather" for his talents as a music executive, entrepreneur, and film producer, who worked with the likes of Louis Armstrong, the SOS Band, Jimmy Jam, Terry Lewis, and Babyface.

Recently, there has been a steady increase in follow-home robberies which prompted LAPD to issue an alert last month. A number have involved celebrities, including TV personality Terrence J and “Real Housewife” Dorit Kemsley.
