Seven coaches have been fired from an Ohio school after they threaten the 17-year-old with kicking him off the team and extra drills for his teammates if he didn't eat pepperoni pizza. The student is of Hebrew Israelite faith and is not allowed to eat pork.
According to the coach's attorney, they did not force the student but instead tried to teach him a lesson.
The idea was okay young man; you’re so special, you want special treatment, are you hungry? I’ll buy you a pizza, and we can all watch you eat. You’re the king, you’re the prince. It was along those lines. And the kid knew he was being disciplined. The coach was trying to teach a lesson. This young man had every opportunity to get up and leave the room at any time.
