List: Freebies for Veteran's and Service Members in Atlanta

ATLANTA, GA — Restaurants and coffeehouses across metro Atlanta are offering Veterans Day 2019 specials — free or discounted meals, drinks and treats — for veterans, retired and active duty military personnel and, in some cases, first responders to thank them for their service. Remember, not all locations participate in Veterans Day promotions, so call ahead to check. Most require some form of ID or proof of service.

Veterans Day is Monday, Nov. 11, and some of the special deals for military personnel are already in place during the year. In most cases, a form of military identification or proof of service is required.

Here are some of the best deals we could find in Georgia.

Applebee's:Veterans and active-duty military in uniform can get a free meal from a limited menu at participating Applebee's on Nov. 11.

Chili's Grill & Bar:All veterans and active duty service members can receive a free meal on Veterans Day at all participating restaurants.

Golden Corral:Military vets, retirees, and active duty members are being offered a free dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. at all Golden Corral locations on Veterans Day.

Baker's Square:All veterans and active duty service members receive a free meal on Veteran's Day from Baker's Square.

Bar Louie:Veterans and active-duty service members get a free burger or flatbread of up to $15 value with proof of service at participating locations.

BJ's Restaurant & Brewhouse:Veterans get a complimentary entree priced up to $14.95 plus a Dr. Pepper with military I.D. or other proof of service. Valid for dine-in only.

Bob Evans:Active and retired military service members get10% off.

Bubba Gump Shrimp Co.:Military service members get10% off.

Buffalo Wild Wings:Veterans and active-duty service members get afree order of small boneless or traditional wings with a side of frieswhen they dine in at participating locations.

Chili's:Veterans and active-duty military get afree entreeon Veterans Day. Choose from a special Veterans Daymenuwith seven choices.

Fogo de Chao:Veterans and active-duty personnel can take50% offtheir entire meal over Veterans Day weekend, from Nov. 8 through Nov. 11. In addition, up to three of their guests will receive 10% off of their meals.

Famous Dave's BBQ:Current and former service members can feast on afree 2-Meat Salute mealwith proof of service. The 2-Meat Salute includes a choice of two different types of meat served with a cornbread muffin and a choice of one side. Proof of service is required.

Fazoli's:Veterans can get afree spaghetti with meat sauce or marinarawith proof of military service. Not all locations are participating, so call before you go.

Friendly's:Veterans and active-duty service members can feast on afree Veterans breakfast, lunch, or dinnerwith military I.D. or honorable discharge card. The Veterans breakfast features theBig-Two-Dowith a cup of coffee.

Gordon Biersch:Active duty service members and veterans can score afree mealfrom a special menu with proof of service. The menu includes choices like a seven-ounce top sirloin, beer-battered fish & chips, cajun pasta, or the Märzen BBQ burger. Eligible guests should come in uniform or bring military ID to get the free meal.

Hooters:Veterans and active-duty military with military I.D. or other proof of service can enjoy afree entreefrom a special Veterans Day menu with a purchase of a beverage.

IHOP:Veterans and active-duty service members can chow down on afree breakfast combo or a free stack of Red, White, and Blueberry pancakesat participating locations.

Macaroni Grill:Current and former military personnel can dig into afree Mom's Ricotta Meatballs and Spaghetti mealwhen they dine in with military I.D. or proof of service.

McCormick & Schmick's:Veterans can visit Sunday, November 10, for afree lunch or dinner. This complimentary meal is for dine-in only and military ID is required. Please note this offer is valid for the day before Veterans Day.

Old Country Buffet:Active-duty, reserve, or retired military personnel can take 15% 0ff their check every day with proof of service. In addition, every Monday, current and former military personnel can enjoy a discounted meal with up to three family members with proof of service.

Olive Garden:Veterans and active-duty service members can dine on afree entree with unlimited soup or salad and garlic breadsticks.

On The Border:Veterans and active-duty military members can design afree Create Your Own Combo mealwith a choose two select menu items plus Mexican rice and beans. Military ID required; at participating locations.

Twin Peaks– Active and retired military can feast on a free meal at participating Twin locations.

Red Robin:Veteran's and active duty military are being offered a free dine-in Red's Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Veteran's Day.

IHOP: All active duty and retired veterans in observance of Veteran's Day, November 11, are invited to come in to IHOP and enjoy a "free" breakfast.

Texas Roadhouse:Veterans and active military receive a free lunch on November 11, from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at all Texas Roadhouse locations.

TGI Fridays:Military guests with a valid military ID will be treated to a free lunch menu item up to $12 on November 11, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. These guests also will receive a $5 coupon for their next meal at Fridays. Call your local TGI Fridays for details.

Subway:Military veterans with a valid ID are being offered a free six-inch sub on November 11 at select locations.

Outback:Veterans with a military ID can get a free Bloomin' Onion and non-alcoholic beverage on November 11, and 20 percent off their check Nov. 12 to Dec. 31.

California Pizza Kitchen:Veterans and active U.S. military members with proof of service have an invitation to enjoy a complimentary meal from CPK's Veterans Day menu at all participating California Pizza Kitchen locations nationwide.

The Chop House:Veterans receive a 50 percent discount with a valid military ID on November 11. This does not apply to alcoholic beverages.

Cici's Pizza:All active duty or retired military with a valid military ID are being offered a free pizza buffet on November 11.

Joe's Crab Shack:Veterans and active duty military with valid ID will enjoy 20 percent off on November 11. Please call ahead to your local Joe's Crab Shack if you have any questions about your Veteran's Day Discount.
