Drake Lost $1 Million On His 2022 World Cup Bet Despite Picking Argentina

According to reports, Drake lost $1 million on a wager that Argentina would defeat France in the 2022 World Cup final. After 90 minutes, the score remained tied 3-3. However, Argentina won the game in penalty kicks with a final score of 4-2. According to Vulture, the problem was that Drake "placed a wager in a market where extra time is not taken into account, and the outcome is determined based on the score after 90 minutes of play." Had Drake won, he would’ve pocketed $1.75 million and gotten his money back totaling $2.75 million.
