Fat Joe names DaBaby the 2021 version of Tupac

Fat Joe believes DaBaby’s rap career is most like that of the late Tupac Shakur. While sitting with Big Tigger for “Rap City ‘21,” Joey Crack was asked to participate in a game where he named the current day versions of some legendary rap stars. “Man, I hope I can do this,” he responded. “But let’s go.” Amid the challenge, Joe said that Kendrick Lamar was today’s JAY-Z, shared his belief that Rod Wave is the E-40 of this generation “because they’re both big boys” and admitted that he didn’t have a match for MC Hammer. Tigger brought up Tupac, the “Lean Back” emcee thought for a moment before he answered, “DaBaby.” He provided no explanation for his reasoning but received a response from the “Suge” emcee, who was in consonance with the comparison. “Agreed,” DaBaby commented under a video of the interview. “But they gonna salt that down to Crack.”
