Kristen Gates, 94.9 The Bull

Listen to Kristen weekdays from 5am - 10am

Kristen was a pre-med major when she started college. It took just one semester for her advisor to push her towards broadcasting. When she graduated from college, she was already hosting her first morning show. Her success in country radio boils down to one thing – her relatability to the listeners. From carpooling her kids to school and practices to starting a new life as a single mom to battling cancer, she’s earned her place as one of just a few air talents to spend her entire career in Atlanta. She’s become a strong voice for amicable co-parenting and constantly reminds us all to be kind to everyone. She’s got one of those laughs that makes you laugh even when you’re in a horrible mood. Kristen has also been seen on local television as an American Idol correspondent and country music expert. She’s even won an Emmy award for a country music special that featured the artists and fans at CMA Fest in Nashville.

Denise K., Power 96.1

Listen to Denise weekdays from 6am - 10am

Born and raised in Portland, Oregon I studied Journalism at Oregon State University. I started my radio journey as a member of the street team on Jammin 95.5 in Portland. Wild and crazy days of PROMOTIONS! Then a more serious role as an Assistant Producer with syndicated talk show host Lars Larson on KXL-AM. I absolutely loved my role with KXL, as I love keeping everyone informed about what is happening in our city and the world. My job consisted of gather news stories, and interviews, also running the board when necessary! Two years later I teamed up with PK and “The Playhouse” crew, which was also syndicated at the time in Fresno, CA.

I should note PK and I are married. Our companies financial struggles ended “The Playhouse” December 2010, when we moved to Houston, Texas.

PK and I began our “PK and DK” podcast in our walk in closet of our apartment hosting the show every Wednesday night.

Fast forward to today I bring you the entertainment news, relationship advice and I try to keep it real between PK and Duryan as these boys sometimes get a little CRAZY. Constantly laughing its great to work with best friends. I’m also obsessed with my little dog KIKI... I LOVE supporting Atlanta’s home teams; Atlanta United, Atlanta Falcons- and College Football (though I root for the Oregon Ducks)!

I love traveling anywhere and everywhere I possibly can! You can always catch me on social media with a SMILE and our motto to #LiveAGreatStory...
