Jon Pardi And Summer Duncan Share New Photos From Their Rustic Farm Wedding

Jon Pardi and Summer Duncan officially tied the knot on Saturday, November 21 in Murfressboro, Tennessee, after canceling their Memorial Day weekend wedding due to COVID-19. Almost two weeks later, the couple is sharing further details and several new photos from their special day with fans.

People reports, the couple decided to get married at a venue called Saddle Woods after attending a friend's wedding there last year. "We had a friend who was married at Saddle Woods last year, and when we walked into their wedding, Jon was like, 'This is the most amazing venue ever,'" Duncan told the publication. "So when we had to cancel our destination wedding, they were naturally the first venue we called when we knew we had to keep things closer to home. There's never a right time in 2020 to get married, so after all the planning and replanning we were just happy we got to do it."

Due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the couple was forced to reduce the number of guests invited. They ended up with a small group of immediate family and close friends at the ceremony, all of whom took a COVID-19 test ahead of time. The couple plans to eventually have a "wedding tour" to celebrate with family in Nashville, California and Texas.

Pardi's dad and tour manager, Trey, served as groomsman, while Duncan's two best friends from California and Nashville were her bridesmaids. Pardi's longtime friend and stylist, John Murphy, married the couple.

During the ceremony, the couple reveals there as one small, but funny, mishap that occurred while exchanging rings. Instead of holding out his left hand for Duncan to place his wedding band on, Pardi held out his right. "Wrong hand!" the bride told the groom as he exclaimed, "First timer!"

Following the ceremony, guests attended the reception where they enjoyed Caesar salad with tomato bisque and a chicken and steak entrée with Boursin mashed potatoes and veggies. For dessert, the couple passed on cake and went with mini churros instead.

As for the couple's attire, Summer wore a custom gown she describes as "very classic, sleek and timeless- but with a flair." Meanwhile, Pardi wore an Aaron McGill-designed tuxedo. The pair chose an unreleased song by Pardi titled "Look At You" for their first dance in the gorgeous wood-beamed venue. According to People, the country singer wrote the song for Duncan this past June in California and recorded it earlier this month.

Pardi, 35, proposed to Duncan, a 31-year-old hairdresser, in October 2019 during his sold-out show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium. They first met in May 2017, when Duncan's client set them up. "Within the first five minutes of meeting Jon, it was game over for me," Summer said. I texted my mom, 'Sell my house, sell my car, send my dog.'"

"Summer was love at first sight for the first time ever in my life," Pardi said. "She was the first girl I've ever dated where I felt like she had my back and that we really are a team. Summer is stunningly beautiful to look at, but that doesn't compare with her heart and how caring she is. We have the most fun together — in any situation — and we laugh constantly."
